2022.01.22 16:51 Throwaway4dumbstuff5 My wife told me it was ok to go out with friends and then started an argument that I did
She said it was ok, then said she should be the priority and shouldn’t have to tell me. I told her she lied and should be honest and she insist she didn’t lie because she shouldn’t have to tell me not to go.
I don’t think I’m wrong for being frustrated and saying she lied. How do I get through to her how ridiculous this is?

2022.01.22 16:51 throwaways9410 Looking good is one of the most overpowered aspects you can have as a human being.
If you are blessed with great genetics and naturall look really good, to a point where you could easily be a model then I believe you have the most overpowered aspects a human can have.
I know there are other things you can have which are also extremely overpowered, something like just being really disciplined and being a charismatic spokesman, you'd definitely be more successful in life however those are all things which you actually have to master and work for.
Life is not all about the looks, I get it, also good looking people have their own problems, just like how billionaires can also have their own problems.
However I strongly believe that just the face that you look good, you will go through life with much more ease.
You avoid bullying in your childhood which most likely makes you have less self esteem issues than people who don't look great.
Looking good for most people also equals being naturally charismatic, many teachers respect a child who just looks "cute" more than a child who says the same thing but doesn't look like he came from model parents.

2022.01.22 16:51 the_one_that_shrines Phils story does not add up...?
So he is saying he got charged for trafficking coke meanwhile they offer him no jail time if he does rehab
Instead of rehab he says no he would rather do youtube and take the risk of (to quote his video) "99% chance of going to jail"
Fast forward to the police officer not being able to get in touch (???) and the case is closed, all charges are dropped...
I don't know but that just doesn't add up. To me it seems like he ratted out his supplier to get his time taken away,... any thoughts?

2022.01.22 16:51 vinaa23 How do I recruit this guy? Is it possible?
Hello, I'm kinda new to Rimworld and I'm having a blast, but I think it's too hard to recruit people without mods. Case in point, this guy appeared in my base, I arrested him and there's no recruitment option. Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance, hope y'all are well.

2022.01.22 16:51 TheScuzziest Learning loft, lie and gaps…?
I’ve been playing golf for 6-7 months now. My buddy gave me his old clubs. Irons are Calloway’s, pretty old ones. Im looking to get my own clubs soon and still don’t fully understand loft and lie or having a gap in your bag between clubs. Is there a good way to learn about this somewhere? Someone on YouTube that breaks it down easily cause so far I haven’t been able to find anything to helpful.
Also does getting fitted make that much of a difference? Im a big guy. 6’2 230ibs. Thanks in advance for any advice given.

2022.01.22 16:51 blacklavender500 Advice request: Accidentally ended up on a course translating The Bacchae by Euripides years after last studying Ancient Greek
So, I’m well aware this is a pretty stupid mistake to make, but I am studying for an MA History : Hellenic Studies at the moment and due to a course I requested being full I was told very last minute the only course still available relating to Hellenic Studies was ‘Greek Drama 1’ and it was focused on The Bacchae. It sounded great and I was running out of time so I didn’t look at the syllabus in detail. Come to find out after starting that it’s also focused on translating the play from original Greek. I haven’t studied Greek in years since my undergraduate and it wasn’t my intention to study it at a postgraduate level, I’m more focused on history. We’re not assessed on our Ancient Greek but we are expected to come with 150 lines translated each week. I’m not familiar with the difficulty level of The Bacchae but is this remotely possible if I work on it for many hours every day? I’m thinking probably not in which case I’ll have to hope there’s a different course I can transfer to that’s not related to my subject sadly. Any advice from someone familiar with The Bacchae would be appreciated.
